This six-level, 52,114-square-metre open-air parking structure includes 1,381 parking spaces with a car-counting system that notifies customers of available parking on each floor.
Other amenities include:
– Stand-by generator
– UPS
– State-of-the-art LED garage lighting with daylight harvesting and dimming capabilities
– Addressable fire alarm
– CO monitoring and alarm
– Public address system
– CCTV and card access fully integrated into existing system.
Additionally, a photovoltaic array was installed on the room (400kW) to be incorporated into the provincial FIT program.
As electrical engineer for the project, Birnie Electric’s role was to design electrical systems to code, to GO standards and a LEED certified level.
