The two-storey, 35,000-square-foot office building houses many of Durham College’s Student Services, including:
– Career services
– Financial aid
– Awards office
– Office of the Vice Presidnet
– Presentation rooms and classrooms
This project is a prime example of our design’s team capabilities, bringing together an energy-efficient and architecturally appealing florescent lighting system. The system features a state-of-the-art lighting control system that incorporates daylight harvesting and occupancy sensors, addressable fire alarm system and complete building communication solutions.
This building also required the coordination and tie-in of many services into an adjacent building. Birnie Electric provided a turnkey Design-Build solution as both the electrical engineer providing complete electrical design as well as the contractor executing the plan.
